Hand Crafted Outdoor Adirondack Furniture
Updated Spring of 2016 - In this video, I show you how I build the Big Easy Rocker... The processes are about the same for all of my designs... Parts may differ, but the concept is the same. Check it out!
I design my pieces using TurboCAD Professional. It is a great product to use for small projects like this. Below, are screenshots of designs I did to make a rocker and a porch bed swing. The folks at TurboCAD have been very helpful to me and I wish to thank them! Visit their site at www.turbocad.com
I would gladly deliver to your home free of charge depending on how many you buy and how far you live from Irmo. In the past, I've met customers halfway which I greatly appreciated to save gas and time. Call or submit an inquiry on the products page so we can work something out.
God had blessed me with skills and common sense that I know helps me design and build elegant, durable and affordable furniture. I use southern cypress on most of my outdoor furniture since it is resistant to bugs and decay. The wood also has a beautiful golden hue and great looking grain. Check out the Products page.
Hello, I'm Eddie Magic, thanks for stopping by! I've been working with wood since I was a kid under the guidance of my father who was a jack of all trades and built boats, remodeled our home and more. Upon his passing, I, being the only son have inherited his tools and since the early 90's have begun to develop woodworking skills as a hobby. I've built many indoor pieces, remodeled our homes and more.
After several years of windsurfing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina I would chill out in those famous OBX Adirondack Chairs. A fellow windsurfing friend built some of those chairs and was nice enough to lend me his patterns. (THANK YOU JIM!) My first chair was made from scrap wood off my front porch. It was ugly but comfortable! My wife sat in it and said "Make me one!" That's where it all began. Since then, I've developed a personal design style and thought I'd share photos with friends. The next thing I know I've got orders!
Those first orders of chairs were made from standard PT lumber you get at the big box stores. One day, a customer requested a set made of cypress. I was shocked at the retail board-foot prices, but didn't give up. After many weeks of searching online, I found a supplier who is able to package & sell cypress to me at a price just above the box stores but well worth it.
I plane the boards to a minimum thickness which provides good stability. For all this, I thank GOD!!!
I do wish to thank each and every customer who purchased from me! I hope I met or exceeded your expectations. I also thank those customers who made special requests! Those challenges have helped me hone my skills and expand the product line. So take a minute please, send me feedback on the Testimonial page. Let me know how they are holding up and if you are still satisfied. Remember what I told you when we traded, "as long as I got my hands and abilities and can get the wood, I'll fix anything that is unsatisfactory due to workmanship."
A product is what the customer says it is!
Again, Welcome to my site, come back often - if you know me, expect many changes here! This is another new hobby and a work-in-progress!!!
